Installation Process for a Panic / Exit Bar at a Chicago School
The previous knob and latch suffered significant damage from force of entry, so our expert lock repair technician went to work on it to help restore it. First, we drilled holes out for the device, and removed the original lock. Then, we installed and centered the strike plate, screwing it in place. Next, we installed a panic device – taking care to use a leveler to ensure it’s completely aligned. Now the panic bar is perfectly level, installed, and works properly with a simple push-bar! On the outside is trim, and a keyhole for the common entry key. Our expert installation member really helped transform this door into good-as-new quality, restoring the security and functionality of that school entrance!
